LEAN ON ME (5) gets the nod after two solid seconds at this track, the latest when beaten a head over 1400m after starting an outside chance in betting. The return to 1100m is no concern given she has three wins and three placings from eleven starts at this track and distance, and that proven record gives her the strongest all-round case. VATICAN ROSE (4) is the immediate danger after dropping out of a BM64 placing, beaten a length last week, and her dominant Mdn win two starts ago showed she can put a race away when conditions suit. STANDARD STREET (6) resumes after a five-month break with mixed Darwin form behind her, but one win from three at this track and distance plus the 1.5kg claim keep her in the mix. BODMIN BOY (3) has placed at his past two in BM54 company and was slow to begin last week, so he is honest enough for another minor-money showing if he handles the quick back-up.
