O'TYCOON (4) was surprisingly beaten as a hot favourite last start on this track and probably found the 1000m a touch too short. He is up in class but down in weight and can make amends over 1200m. On top. VINNIE'S SPIRIT (6) was runner-up in the same race as the top pick last time out courtesy of a rails-hugging ride. He is having just his third local start and can go one better. BRAT (2) is a very tough local who beat most of these on their merit last time out. He is chasing a hat-trick and should go close to getting the job done again. GREAT BUY (1) has been freshened up since finishing fourth here 6 weeks ago. He has a good record here over 1400m and can bounce back into the money in a small field here. VENTING (5) was upset before the start when resuming from a spell and that run is best ignored. He will improve second up and is worth including in all multiples.
