CAPTAIN AMORE (5) recorded another strong performance last start when he battled on bravely for second at Gore, his third placing from his last four outings. Proven at this circuit and distance and looks close to another win. FIRST LIGHT (10) put the writing on the wall with an improved result for second last start at this circuit and distance. Race fit now so could go one better. BLAZE LIGHTENING (9) draws on the second line but is close to another win after seconds in his last three starts at Ascot Park. Can win if he gets the gaps. ALWAYS B ROYAL (3) was midfield last start but came from tougher barriers than this to place in the previous two outings.
