Wagga Race 6 - Boots Civil Riverina Championships Entires And Geldings Final (Listed Classic)

WAR DAN BUDDY (14) made a long run and just missed as favourite in last week's qualifier but won the other two times he raced here. His form is strong for this with a G3 win and a G1 placing behind Leap To Fame among his deeds this campaign. If he produces that sort of form he is good enough to win from the outside of the back row. SINALOA (9) was an eye catcher when hitting the line well for a close second in the other heat. That was his third placing on the trot, the other two behind boom mare Captains Mistress at Menangle including the G1 Chariots of Fire. Building towards a win and draws for a trail so could be dangerous. SANCHEZ (2) continued his strong form when holding off WAR DAN BUDDY last week. He owns good statistics both here and at the distance and should get his chance from this draw. DOUBLE LOU (12) was third after working in his heat and may have to do it again but he had won six of his previous eight at Menangle including last season's Breeders Challenge 3CG Final.
