The winning run of ALDEBARAN DENBAY (7) came to an end last start but he still performed well when second at Menangle. Had won three in a row prior, scoring at this circuit and distance two back. Good enough to overcome the wide draw and win this. ALDEBARAN MARCUS (6) continued his good form with a respectable third at his most recent appearance at Maryborough. Draws wider but a win could be imminent. ALDEBARAN MISTIQUE (10) may need some luck from this draw but is worth some thought after her last-start fourth at this circuit and distance. TARENTAISE (5) is a newcomer to the Luke Mulley yard from Queensland. The market may be the best guide to his chances of measuring up.
