NEDS BEACH NZ (2) was in the money at Port Pirie two runs ago before having his colours lowered at his latest appearance over 1800m at Globe Derby Park, beaten 14 metres. A nice draw on the front line should ensure a cosy run and rates a primary contender if anywhere near his best. BETATHANABOUGHTONE (3) is on the radar after her last-start fifth over 1690m at this track two weeks ago. Top-three candidate. TEX GOES BANG (1) disappointed last time when ninth over 2240m at Melton. Can do a lot better so worth considering from the coveted pegs draw.
