ALWAYS LIGHTNING (2) has been tackling stronger opposition at Bathurst and there was plenty to like about the latest performance when he came from a couple of spots wider and finished third, beaten 5 metres. This suits and he should get his chance from the low draw. THEYCALLMEBRUCE (1) missed narrowly first up at Bathurst then gave a good account at his latest appearance at Young, beaten just 2.4 metres into fourth after racing parked. Should enjoy a nice run from this favourable starting position and will be close to peak fitness now. THE HUSTLER NZ (3) draws well and should be at his peak for this after placing in two of three starts this time in, the latest appearance here a week ago. MULLUM AXEL (6) should relish the return to a venue where he has recorded a win and a placing in two visits.
