FOX DAN (6) makes his first appearance since wining the Victoria Derby in October. Finished last campaign with five wins a second in the Eureka from his last six starts. Talented pacer who hasn't missed a place in six tries at this distance, winning three. Readied with two trials so can strike fresh. Stablemate CAPTAIN PERFECT (7) made a winning return to the track at his latest appearance over 1720m at Melton, scoring by 1.1 metres after taking charge of proceedings a fair way from home. That made it three on the trot having ended his previous campaign with a Breeders Crown win and he strikes at 50 per cent at this distance. JILLIBY NITRO (8) comes right into contention after beating some smart rivals in the Terang Cup last start, his second success from his last three outings. SON OF MAC NZ (3) draws well and is worth some thought based on his victory at Melton two runs ago.
