Produced yet another strong performance last start when he battled on bravely to just miss out over 1790m at this track, adding to a string of recent minor placings. Tackles a similar assignment and he can grab that well-deserved win. MAXY WANTS TO PLAY (10) drew wide last start and was safely held, beaten 23 metres into ninth at Horsham over 2200m. Hard to know where he gets from this slightly awkward draw. This doesn't look as hard so he is a major player. KOMODO (6) ended last prep with a win at Maryborough over 1690m 11 weeks ago. Capable of a forward showing while fresh. RIO ROCK (11) cannot be ruled out but needs a bit of luck from the tricky draw.
