Accomplished mare SUGAR PIE HONEY (4) is back from a spell of three-and-a-half months and looks to be right up to the mark following a placing in a recent trial. She is a two-time fresh winner and her strike rate at this circuit and distance stands at 50 per cent. She looks tough to stop although the best form of SMIRKIN SERENE (1) would see her as challenger given her ace draw. She came from the back row and got close when placed fresh at Newcastle and has won two of three second-up attempts so should have come on. NAMAKA (8) cops a wide draw but she has yet to miss a place when second-up so is open to improvement. RIKIBREAL (5) is worth including after a decent effort from out wide last start and a fourth here prior.
