VALERIE LANE (1) is a promising filly who made it two from two when leading and digging deep to narrowly win the heat. Both of her wins have come from wider barriers so she can take full advantage of the ace draw and prove hard to catch. COGNATI (2) has been beaten narrowly when runner up at both starts and gave Valerie Lane a real scare last start when finishing strongly to miss her by a nose. She gets her lowest draw so far and that gives her every chance to turn the tables. DICHOTOMY (7) broke on debut then produced a solid effort to place behind the top two picks last time despite sitting parked. Trifecta player along with ALDEBARAN MILEY (3) who broke last start but placed behind Valerie Lane from this same draw two back.
