SOME AMERICAN (4) led from wider than this for a resuming win here two back then was beaten out of a placing as a hot favourite last time but did have to work when parked. Prepared to forgive him that and banking on a return to his best form. GOOD TOBE LOCKSLEY (2) jumps in grade but has come from the second line to win his last two outings here. Also scored the last two times he started on the front row so should enjoy this barrier. ITS CONFIDENTIAL (7) hasn't recaptured the form he showed in his resuming win at Menangle in May but he owns a strong strike rate at this distance and his best would measure right up here. HOORAH PHILTRA (3) is hard to knock having put together a string of top-two results and he draws to be competitive again. TRIPLE EIGHT NZ (8) has been tackling stronger company of late and draws to enjoy a trail so with the sprint lane in play he could be dangerous.
