HOPPY NZ (8) made a strong return after eight months on the sidelines when he came from wider on this row for third at this venue. Bound to be fitter for that and he is yet to miss a place at this shorter distance. Draws for a nice trail and has strong claims. HOWDY MATE (5) did a good job to come from the back row and place in the Nutrien final at Wagga last start. Also had a back row draw when beaten only 1.6m into second the last time he raced here. Could return to the winners' list. IRON WOMEN (3) chased a handy one when runner-up here last start. Building a good record at this distance and draws well so should run a big race. KEAYANG KURKI (7) draws wide for her return but goes very well fresh with two wins and a placing in four fresh attempts and was readied with a nice trial.
