KIA ORA BEAUTY (1) put the writing on the wall with a very close second last week at this circuit and distance. Showed early speed from wider there so can take advantage of the ace draw. That could see her hard to stop. ODIN (9) chased well to finish second here last start, beaten less than 2m. May need some luck from the back row but is suited dropping to the distance that has produced six of his seven career wins. The race didn't pan out for JILLIBY ILLUMINATE NZ (10) when a beaten favourite last time but she had kicked off her campaign with back-to-back seconds. Race fit now and could strike with even luck from the second line. SOAP AND BUBBLES (11) has been close up at her last couple including a placing from a similar draw here two back. At her peak now and races well at this shorter distance with two wins and a placing from four attempts.
