ALDEBARAN JAZMINE (6) has been racing well from back row draws, scoring by more than 7m two back at Maryborough before placing in a higher-graded race than this at Ballarat last week. Draws wide but both career wins have come at this distance range. THE ITALIAN DREAM (4) did a good job to be beaten less than 2m into third at Shepparton last week. Suited returning to a circuit and distance where she has recorded a win and a placing in two attempts. AFRICAN GALA (1) hasn't been far from the placegetters of late and should enjoy the favours from the inside draw. SCAR (3) has won a trial since breaking last start. Draws well and is proven at this venue and distance so is a chance with manners. LIFE ON THE HILL (7) cops an ODM and the widest barrier after beginning badly last start but scored a nice win at Bendigo prior.
