SAPPHIRE GAMBLER (4) did a good job to finish third two starts ago then registered an effortless victory last time out, scoring by 10 metres over 2090m at this track. Meets a similar line up so he is capable of getting the job done again. SOUTHERN LUCK (6) turned in a poor effort by his standards most recently when 9 metres away in ninth over 2698m at Launceston. Form prior to that had been solid and has the talent to take this out. JILLIBY JAY SEA (2) is a great chance after a string of sound recent performances, the latest a solid fifth here over 1609m. Hard to find fault. DONE WELL (3) was out of the money two runs ago then overcame a break to finish second, beaten 10 metres, over 2090m at this venue a week ago. Only needs to get things right to be in the money again.
