SMOKIN STREPO (1) was ultra-impressive at his latest appearance over 1680m at Terang, scoring comfortably by 18 metres after taking control of the race a fair way from home. A nice draw on the front line should ensure a cosy run. Meeting a deeper field this time but he good enough to play a major role. JUST LIKE NUGGET (4) has been racing well, filling a top-five position at his last 10 starts including a third most recently at Charlton over 2100m. Finds a nice race and will be a major force once more. VINNY ROCK (7) didn't do a bad job when fourth over 2200m at Ballarat last time out. Each-way prospect. AMERICAN SQUARED (3) is worth plenty of thought off a last-start win by 6 metres at Mt Gambier over 1780m.
