METRO ASSASSIN (6) last appeared when a eighth over 1720m at Melton on January 25, capping off a fine prep that saw him salute on four occasions. Well-placed to pick up where he left off when last in work. EASTBRO KOZZY (3) is in good form with top-five finishes at his last 14 starts, most recently recording a second over 2200m at Horsham. A nice draw on the front line should ensure a cosy run. His recent form is good enough to put him right in the finish. COLOSSAL HOPE (2) is one of the main contenders after winning his past three starts, the latest at Mt Gambier seven-and-a-half weeks ago. Difficult to ignore that sort of form. GRINNING BEACH BOY (4) is worth some thought after his last-start fourth over 2200m at Horsham on January 5 after he led at the bell.
