SANDELTON (1) won two back at Melton from a nice gate. Drew wide last start and was never a genuine threat, beaten 16 metres into sixth at Melton over 1720m. Will enjoy a nice run from this favourable starting position. Finds a tougher race but a better run is on the cards. HILLTOP STAR (3) is back from a break of three-and-a-half months and looks to be right up to the mark following a placing in a recent trial. Likely to get all the favours from this nice draw. Sure to be right there at the finish. MEZZANOTTI (4) disappointed last time when tenth over 2240m at Melton. Can atone. BELLA ROMA (2) is heading the right way, improving last time out to finish second at this track over 1800m. Include in combinations.
