Very open race. REOFFENDER (6) was a beaten favourite last week but had to work hard when racing wide so was far from disgraced when 7 metres off the winner. Has a terrific strike rate here, winning 10 of 16 attempts. Prepared to give him another chance. REGAL ATTIRE NZ (13) is building nicely into his campaign and made it back-to-back placings when he came from this mark for second last week, beaten less than 2 metres. Should be hitting his peak now so looms as a serious challenger. MORE WANTED (12) showed improvement when runner-up from this handicap last week. With further improvement likely third-up he could go one better. BITTA IRISH LUCK (7) maintained an unbeaten record at this circuit and distance when scoring last week, her third success from her last five starts here. Goes back 10m in the handicap but must respected along with ARTIGAS (1) who galloped out last week but was runner-up at Melton prior and is good enough with manners.
