PESCI (5) was successful at Melton three runs ago but has been out of the money since, the latest effort seeing him making up some ground but only managing fourth over 2100m at Geelong. This should be an easier assignment so he is in the right race to find winning form. ARTILLERY (7) has been competitive of late and kept the ball rolling last time when 8 metres from the winner in fifth over 1800m at this track. The driver has some work to do from this wide starting position. Steps up a level but he is good enough to take this out. ZENARIO (3) didn't do a bad job when fifth over 2240m at Melton last time out. SO SIRIUS NZ (8) finished second when resuming last start despite galloping, beaten 1.4 metres over 1609m at Port Pirie. Will enjoy a pretty soft run from this draw, with the sprint lane to play a big role. Must raise the bar but another big run is on the cards.
