Will enjoy a nice run from this favourable starting position. Big chance in a similar assignment. BLUE STAR SAPPHIRE (10) turned in yet another strong performance last start when she battled on bravely to just miss out over 1609m at this track, adding to a string of recent minor placings. Has to contend with a very wide draw. Leading hope based on those recent efforts. ESMERALDA DU LAC (1) didn't do a bad job when fifth over 1609m at Mohawk Park last time out. TOPVILLE CHECKMEIN (9) is a chance after finishing in the money for the second time in a row last start, beaten a head into second at Kawartha Downs.
