EAGLE MAJOR (5) looks close to a win. Filled a minor placing at Shepparton two runs ago before finishing second at his latest appearance at Boort, beaten a nose. Hitting peak fitness now so can break through. There was plenty to like about the latest performance of TUPELO BEACH (6) when he finished second, beaten 2.7 metres, in a nice return to form at Bendigo. Draws wider but can go well again. CLIVES GIRL (1) is heading the right way, improving last time out to finish third at Shepparton. Fitter again third up and she is aided by the ace draw. CARUSO STAR (7) draws for a trail and did well last time when third at Maryborough.
