IM WESLEY (6) registered a strong performance last time when he battled on bravely to just miss out by 1.2m in a higher-graded race at Ballarat. That was his third placing from his last four starts so he looks close to a win and he scored the only time he attempted this circuit and distance. RANDOM MAHONEY (2) came from wider when winning last month at Shepparton and has produced some good efforts from back row draws of late including a second at this venue. Should have no excuses from this advantageous draw. OZZIE PEARL (7) draws wider but is heading the right way, improving last time out to finish third at Echuca. EASTBRO JESSE (8) draws for a trail and is worth some thought off a win two back at Shepparton.
