BETTING RANGER (3) has been tackling stronger company of late, including when he led from this barrier and stuck on for second here last month. Should enjoy an economical run from this draw. This is a nice drop in grade so he is in the right race to return to form. AUNTIE LOU (4) led and faded as favourite last start but was going well prior including a second at Menangle two runs ago. Worth another chance. ALWAYSBMYPONY (5) was good last time when a 2.5m third from one spot wider and won at this venue last month, the last time he raced over this longer distance. SAINT VERAN (6) hasn't been faraway of late. He can be competitive again.
