Bathurst Race 2 - Hynash Group Gold Crown Gold Consolation

It was a surprise to see DON HUNTER (3) miss the Gold Crown final after finishing third as a hot favourite in last week's heat but he did have to come from the back row there. He was very impressive in a Listed win on debut at Menangle prior when he led from a similar barrier to this so he can bounce from this more favourable draw. THE MYTEE DUCK (4) has led from wider barriers than this in his two starts to date, winning at this circuit and distance on debut before a third in last week's heat. He can push forward again from this draw so could challenge. SCAR STRUCK (6) drew on the back row and worked so did well to finish 4.3m away in third in his heat. Winner on debut at Albion Park prior. Draws wide but can feature if things go his way. SEASTRIKE (2) deserves respect having come from the back row to place in both starts since kicking off his career with a win from this barrier.
