SAN SEBASTIAN (1) had a wider barrier both in his heat and in the Sapling Stakes prior but had enough speed to lead when winning at Newcastle last month so can take advantage of the inside draw. BETWEEN DECKS (3) only beat one home in the heats but had placed in his three other outings. Likely to get all the favours from this nice draw. Can play a big role. LETMEBECLEAR (4) was down the track in his heat but did a good job to win two back at Tamworth so is worth another chance. SPARTAN SHIELD (5) was in the market when debuting in the heats but raced greenly. He should have learned something from that.
