A SPECIAL OCCASION NZ (8) is a newcomer to the Michael Stanley yard from NZ where he tackled the top three-year-olds last campaign, placing in the Northern Derby three back. Hasn't raced for four months but goes very well fresh with two wins and a placing from three attempts and was readied with a trial win at Melton. Well placed to kick off in Australia with a win. COOL STORY (3) turned in a strong effort at his latest appearance at this circuit and distance, racing parked from this barrier but sticking on to be beaten 2.3 metres. Go well again. TEST OF FIRE (2) resumes after three-and-a-half months. Led from wider and won easily here two back. Expect a good effort to kick off this prep. MY MARIONETTE (1) showed pleasing improvement last time out when third at this circuit and distance and gets the inside draw again.
