CATHERINE (1) made a nice return at her latest appearance eight days ago, coming from a wide barrier for third at Bendigo. She will strip fitter for that and should enjoy a nice run from this favourable starting position. AMERICAN VICTORY (4) has been racing well, filling a placing at her last four starts including a second most recently at Ararat when she raced parked and stuck on. Recent efforts are good enough to take out a race like this. YNOBE MAJAK (2) broke on debut but did a good job for third at Terang last time out. Draws well again and is open to further improvement. MIGHTY BLING (5) draws a little lower than in his debut fifth so could progress.
