BLAZE LIGHTENING (1) has been racing well of late. Finished second at his latest appearance over 1609m at Central Southland Raceway, beaten 2.25 metres. No excuses from this advantageous draw. Meets a similar line up and he is a strong winning hope. STEP IT UP A NOTCH (7) finished second last start over 2400m at Wyndham Raceway, beaten 1.4 metres. That was an improvement on the unplaced effort at Gore Raceway the run before. Tactics will be crucial from this wide draw. Finds a nice race and can turn things around. JACCKA ELVIS (2) comes right into contention after scoring last start by 3.5 metres at Central Southland Raceway over 2400m. ALWAYS BE BOOTIE (5) is the best of the rest after finishing fifth over 2400m at Wyndham Raceway last time out.
