SAFFRON MONSOON (1) failed to come into contention last start after settling off pace at Horsham, but prior to that won by 2.25 lengths at Geelong (26.00) beating Carpark Babe in a Rank Limit - Restricted Win on July 21. Better than the latest run and deserves another chance. CRUISE COMMANDER (6) has mixed form recently, finishing fourth (30.50) in a Mix 6/7 at this track latest but did run well two back when in the frame. Rates a winning chance on best. PETALI (3) used the inside to advantage when a maiden winner two back then drew wider last time and could manage only seventh, beaten 18 lengths (31.15) at this track over 525m. Returns to the scene of his maiden win. Can find the frame this time. KIWI HANK (4) cannot be underestimated.
