Although beaten ran one of the quickest times on the card last start. Can measure up. MAGIC SCOTCH (2) has been settling off the speed lately, finishing fourth (28.44) last time in a Grade 4/5 at Bendigo. The form from her last run is stacking up nicely. One of the main contenders. SMOOTH RANGER (4) cannot be ruled out.
