NIGEL DEVERE (3) failed to come into contention last start after drifting back at this track, but prior to that won by 1.5 lengths at this track (29.89) beating Paw Gordy in a Special conditions race on February 14. Worth another chance. PAW QWAN (2) finished in the minors last start over the 525m at this track but ran a sharp 30.07 last start. This tougher but expected to be in the finish. LIGHTNING SPEED (6) found the frame for the second consecutive time when narrowly beaten into third last time out (30.69) over 525m at this track. Expecting sharp improvement this line-up. SPRING MILES (7) was out of the frame here most recently but can atone.
