KNURLING (1) goes very well at the course with two wins and a placing from four starts. Was out of placings last time (30.26) at Sandown in a Grade 6, finishing fourth and beaten 15 lengths. With a clean break looks hard to beat. BLACK IN STYLE (4) steps out for the first time at this circuit. Strong winner last time by 2.5 lengths at Sandown in a Restricted WIN in one of the quickest times on the program (35.24). Makes plenty of appeal if runs up to latest. NORM'S LUCY (8) showed little early speed at her last couple, the latest finishing fifth (29.00) in a T3 RSTW at Bendigo. Solid record at the distance winning two races. Remains without a win from the draw but has been in the placings four times from five attempts. Shapes as one to consider. COCONUT CARTER (6) is worth another chance despite missing the top-three here most recently.
