NIP OF SCOTCH (5) settled down midfield and held his position to the line when finishing 4th (19.45) at Q Straight. Good beginner but will need a little luck from a middle draw. Key runner who gets his chance to atone. AUSSIE WOOD (8) is a last-start placegetter who will have admirers.
