JAMARRA (1) stalked the lead from a low draw and fought on well to finish 1.5 lengths back in third (29.85) at Mt Gambier in a Grade 3/4/5 over 512m. Although beaten ran one of the quickest times on the card last start. Expected to feature in the finish again. NOVA'S FERN (3) scored well last start as odds-on favourite by 5.5 lengths at Gawler in a handy 37.75 beating Urana Uno. Fair draw can see a good run and in form and has the ability. Winner at her latest appearance in the quickest time on the card. Leading chance again. TAKE THE STEPS (7) was never in contention last time at this track, but prior to that won comfortably by 4 lengths at this track (25.67) beating Prime Voltage in a Grade 5 on March 27. Remains without a win from the draw but has been in the placings two times from three attempts. Cannot be taken lightly. BACARDI GIRL (5) should be thereabouts.
