JETSON (5) scored two back in quick then drifted back and missed the frame latest finishing a 14 length 6th at Mt Gambier (30.29). Tough to beat if on-song. TAKE THE STEPS (4) had the drop on the lead from the squeeze box before taking over turning, drawing clear to score (22.39) at this track in a Grade 5 over 395m. Significant danger. WESTERN EMPIRE (2) doesn't win out of turn but looks close to breaking through. Finished in the minors last time when second (23.30) at Mt Gambier making it back to back placings. Solid record at the distance winning three races. Has performed well from this box with a win and three minor placings to his name from seven starts. Must be included in calculations. ROCKLEA EARLE (1) is always hard to beat when drawn in this box.
