INFRARED VIOLET (2) showed good early burn and was there until turning but swamped late to finish 5th at this track in Grade 5 company. Solid record here at this trip including four wins. Good beginner aided by a nice draw. Rates on top in this line up. ULTIMATE SIN (4) turned in a better effort at Richmond last start, finishing second behind Go Forward Kenny (18.34) in a Grade 5. Chased the leaders and with a clean run can be prominent. Recorded one of the quickest times on the card last start despite being beaten. Must be included in calculations. IMOGENE PASS (8) returned a better run last time, finishing in the money (16.14) at The Gardens behind Don't Do It in a Grade 5. Worked home well on that occasion and should be strong late. Safe beginner but wide box to overcome and will need some luck. Expected to be in this for a long way. ZIPPING RUFFIAN (3) generally performs well here at this distance.
