ARMATREE VIOLET (1) missed the frame last time when sixth (23.32) in a Grade 4/5 at this track after a slow start and settling well off the pace. Was fast away and placed (23.32) at this track the start prior. Form at the trip sound including 10 wins. Can make amends. NICMAC STAR (3) was sent out long odds last time but rocketed out of the boxes with a fast early sectional and gave a sight before being swallowed up late, finishing a 3.5 lengths third (25.02) over 431m at Gunnedah. Although beaten ran one of the quickest times on the card last start. Winning chance. ALIIR (6) has mixed form recently, finishing fifth (23.24) in a Grade 4/5 at this track latest but did run well two back when in the frame. This looks easier and expected to improve sharply. KIANDO FLORENCE (8) did the right thing for favourite backers last time - sure to feature again.
