ASTON FIXER (2) struggled in tougher grade last start at Shepparton, but prior to that won easily by 3.5 lengths at Warrnambool (25.13) beating Parumba Jazzman in a Grade 5 on October 22. Better than last start and worth following up. GROOT BALE (5) was below best at his last start when 7th at Geelong following a second place finish (19.24) at Healesville two back. Better than the latest run and deserves another chance. ROMANI ROAD (1) missed the frame last time at Shepparton but was in the finish the start prior when sixth (23.69) and goes well this course. Well placed here and should do much better. KIWI FRED (8) was well fancied in betting last start but could only manage 2.75 lengths away in third (30.47).
