MIAMI MOUNTAIN (5) produced a promising debut effort over 1000m on the Turffontein Inside course last start. He was slowly into stride but the manner in which he finished off his race was eye-catching. He would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1200m. With the natural improvement that is expected, he can go one better. TRAJANUS (10) has finished second in both his efforts to date. He showed speed over 1000m at Turffontein last time, but found one too good on the day. He returns from a 12-week spell and if not in need of the run, he can take this race out. WAYNE (11) is an unraced son of Vercingetorix from the Lucky Houdalakis stable with Chase Maujean booked to ride. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note.
