IDEAS MAN (1) hardly ever runs a bad race and lumped 64kg into second place here a fortnight ago over 1000m and having 2kg less to carry this time could make all the difference. Sonja Logan is unbeaten in 2 starts on this gelding and they can keep that record intact here. DOC O'CONNOR (3) was quite disappointing here as favourite last time out and finished at the rear of a 5-horse field. He steps up to 1200m which is usually beyond him but maybe the 4.5kg weight drop will help him bounce back. Follow your money. SEGUSO (2) just battled in a stronger field last time out on this track and should be at his peak fitness third-up after making the move from NSW earlier in the year. Jarrod Todd opts for this fellow which is a strong lead and the pair will be hard to hold out. STORM THE FORTRESS (5) was a brave winner at Katherine 4 weeks ago and is carrying 7.5kg less this time. He is still on the up with his fitness so stick with him. SIAKAM (4) cannot be ruled out of a top 3 finish here.
