PET WOLF (2) was terrific on debut when he drew on the back row and had to cover ground in the latter stages before going under by just a neck as runner-up at this venue. Open to natural improvement and is better served by this draw. CO CAPTAIN (9) missed by a nose on debut and was good again when a 3.2m second from a similar draw at Maryborough. The hoof is on the till so could go one better here. TRYX VIXEN (6) looks close to a win having made it three placings on the trot when she raced parked but kept fighting to miss by a head last week at Kilmore. Came from this barrier for third the last time she raced here three back. Could break through. FIVE CENT (4) was held up late and not too far off the placegetters last start.
