HARPERSEVEN (4) made a good impression on debut a week-and-a-half ago over 1650m at Bendigo, finishing second and beaten just a head after taking charge of proceedings a fair way from home. That latest effort is good enough to take out a race like this. ALDEBARAN AXL (1) finished fourth last start, beaten 25 metres at Geelong over 1609m. Has ability and should be right in the finish. APACHEVALLEY (6) didn't do a bad job when fifth over 1609m at Geelong last time out. DANCE WITH ROXY (3) is a three-year-old filly from the T Abela stable on debut. Will enjoy a nice run from this favourable starting position. Showed some ability when a minor placegetter in a recent trial. Sure to prove very hard to beat.
